About
This course provides Behavior Technicians with a practical foundation in the core principles and concepts of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Participants will learn how behavior is influenced by environmental factors and how fundamental behavior-analytic principles can be applied to support meaningful behavioral and skill-development outcomes. The course covers essential concepts including reinforcement, punishment, motivating operations, antecedents and consequences, stimulus control, prompting, shaping, chaining, extinction, generalization, and maintenance. Emphasis is placed on helping Behavior Technicians understand not only the terminology, but also how these principles are applied in everyday clinical and educational settings. Through practical examples, activities, and scenario-based learning, participants will develop the foundational knowledge needed to implement behavior-change procedures accurately, follow behavior plans, collect meaningful data, and work effectively under the supervision of a qualified behavior-analytic professional.
