POLICY STATEMENT
LPLC is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where every child is protected from abuse, neglect, exploitation, discrimination, and harm. We uphold the rights, dignity, and well-being of every child through ethical and child-centered practices.

PURPOSE
Our Child Safeguarding Policy establishes the standards, responsibilities, and procedures necessary to protect children, promote their welfare, and ensure that all staff understand their legal and ethical obligations in creating a safe learning environment.

SCOPE
This policy applies to all LPLC services, programs, and activities, including center-based and home-based therapy, school support, telehealth, community-based instruction, and all individuals who interact with children, including employees, therapists, volunteers, interns, consultants, contractors, and visitors.

GUIDING PRNCIPLES
Our safeguarding practices are guided by the best interests of the child, respect, inclusion, safety, professional accountability, and collaboration with families to ensure every child is treated with dignity and compassion.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Safeguarding is a shared responsibility. All staff are expected to maintain professional conduct, recognize and report safeguarding concerns, while leadership ensures appropriate policies, training, supervision, and support systems are in place.

CHILD'S RIGHT
LPLC recognizes every child's right to safety, respect, inclusion, privacy, participation, and access to quality educational and therapeutic services in an environment free from abuse, neglect, and discrimination.

FAMILY ENGAGEMENT
We value strong partnerships with parents and caregivers by promoting open communication, transparency, and collaboration to support each child's safety, well-being, and developmental progress.

PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT
All LPLC staff are expected to maintain professional boundaries, use respectful and ethical practices, protect confidentiality, and promote positive behavior support while ensuring the safety and dignity of every child.

REPORTING SAFEGUARDING CONCERNS
All safeguarding concerns are taken seriously and must be reported promptly through established procedures. LPLC is committed to responding appropriately, maintaining confidentiality, and taking necessary action to protect children from harm.

TRAINING AND IMPROVEMENT
LPLC provides ongoing safeguarding training, regular policy reviews, and continuous quality improvement to ensure our practices remain effective, ethical, and aligned with current child protection standards.
